Deployment Strategist

About the role

mimic is a physical AI company building the full stack of general-purpose dexterous manipulation, founded in 2024 by ETH Zurich researchers. Its offices are in Zurich and San Francisco. The Deployment Strategist plays a key role in scaling the business by driving customer acquisition, professionalising internal processes and exploring strategic opportunities, working closely with the business development lead, product and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Explore potential markets and industry verticals to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage inbound and outbound sales channels to generate and convert new business.
• Deploy and improve scalable business development and marketing processes and manage corporate sales efforts.
• Own the customer journey, manage stakeholders and develop outreach and communication strategies to turn prospects into customers.
• Gather industry insights and customer feedback and feed them back to product and engineering to improve product-market fit.

Required profile

• Technical background in robotics, mechanical or electrical engineering, computer science or a related field.
• 2+ years in business development, sales, project management or strategy, ideally in early-stage startups.
• Proven track record finding and engaging potential customers, especially in B2B or industrial sectors such as manufacturing and logistics.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with experience negotiating contracts and managing stakeholders.
• Fluent English and German; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to factories and logistics centres internationally.
• Nice to have: experience in manufacturing, logistics, generative AI or robotics markets, and experience organising industry events.

Required skills

• Comfortable with CRM tools, financial software and productivity tools.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and operational challenges is a strong plus.
