Desktop Support Engineer – Zurich

About the role

The company is looking for a technically strong, service‑oriented Desktop Support Engineer to join its growing technology team in Zurich. You will be the primary IT support contact for the Zurich office while collaborating with colleagues across Europe, North America and Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality desktop and end‑user support to employees in Zurich and the wider global business.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS and application issues, including Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
• Manage workstation deployments, hardware builds, user onboarding and equipment lifecycle.
• Administer endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune and SCCM.
• Troubleshoot networking, connectivity and remote‑access problems.
• Assist with desktop engineering initiatives, software rollouts and technology improvement projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with end users and contribute to documentation, process improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Promote cybersecurity best practices and support endpoint security management.

Required profile

• 7+ years of commercial desktop, IT or end‑user support experience.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, globally distributed environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Strong customer‑service mindset and ability to support users at all seniority levels.

• Microsoft Windows 11
• Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
• PowerShell scripting
• Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM administration
• TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• Hardware deployment and workstation build experience
• Endpoint security and cybersecurity principles
