About the role
Join Vitol’s CTRM team in Geneva to develop and enhance the core Commodity Trading Risk Management system that supports a wide range of energy and commodity products.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement new system features based on user requirements.
- Collaborate with diverse users to prioritize requirements and devise technical solutions.
- Maintain and improve existing system modules, including those you build.
- Provide day‑to‑day application support and user training.
- Participate in system integration projects for newly acquired companies.
Required profile
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a user‑facing database engineer or similar role.
- Strong data‑modelling abilities and proficiency in SQL.
- Entrepreneurial drive with a proactive, user‑focused mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Required skills
- PL/SQL (or similar procedural DB language such as T‑SQL).
- Oracle Forms Builder.
- SQL and data‑modelling.
- Experience with C#, C++ or Python (nice to have).
