Software Engineer

About the role

Vitol is seeking a Software Engineer to maintain, improve and support internal applications, tools and deployment processes across its trading technology landscape. The role focuses on enhancing deployment automation, developer tooling and operational reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve internal application installation and deployment tools used across trading platforms.
• Support and enhance reporting components, including spreadsheet‑based and service‑based tools.
• Maintain and improve internal communication and messaging tools for business applications.
• Support batch‑processing components and background services used by core trading systems.
• Maintain, improve and support CI/CD pipelines and software quality tooling such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket and SonarQube.

Required profile

• 2 to 5 years of experience in software development, application engineering, DevOps or release management.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a pragmatic delivery approach.
• Ability to work on several topics in parallel across different teams and domains.
• Good communication skills in English.

Required skills

• .NET / C# programming.
• Jenkins for CI/CD.
• Git or Bitbucket version control.
• SonarQube for code quality.
• Visual Studio Code.
• Knowledge of PL/SQL and database development tools (advantage).
