DevOps Engineer

About the role

Blockstream is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build, automate, and operate secure blockchain and digital‑asset infrastructure for enterprise and institutional clients. The role focuses on deploying production‑grade platforms using infrastructure‑as‑code, automation, and security‑first practices in regulated financial services environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure for blockchain platforms across banking, custody, payments, and digital‑asset environments.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and release management.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation or similar IaC tools.
• Operate containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and manage environments on AWS, Azure, hybrid and on‑premise setups.
• Implement security hardening, secrets management, encryption and access controls, and build monitoring, logging and alerting systems.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE or infrastructure operations, preferably in fintech or regulated environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
• Proven ability to collaborate across solution architects, engineering, delivery and client teams.
• Fluent English; additional Swiss German, German, French or Italian is a plus.
