Digital Learning Technology Specialist

About the role

The World Trade Organization’s Institute for Training and Technical Cooperation is seeking a Digital Learning Technology Specialist to support and expand its e‑Learning programme. Reporting to the Head of Unit, you will ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of the Learning Management System (LMS) while fostering learner engagement across a global audience.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and administer LMS features such as courses, permissions, enrolments, authentication, dashboards, cohorts, reports, audiences, and virtual classroom spaces.
• Troubleshoot LMS issues and coordinate enhancements, updates, maintenance, plugin adjustments, and security considerations with IT services and external hosting providers.
• Monitor enrolments, participation rates, and learner progress; generate data‑driven reports for stakeholders.
• Implement engagement‑oriented features including badges, certificates, points, challenges, and other gamification elements.
• Collaborate closely with instructional designers, multimedia specialists, subject‑matter experts, and external partners to design high‑quality digital learning experiences.

Required profile

• Experience in operating and supporting a corporate or institutional LMS.
• Strong analytical skills to track participation metrics and produce actionable reports.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external service providers.
• Understanding of e‑learning best practices and digital learner engagement strategies.
