Documentation Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Documentation Engineer to join our remote, international team supporting a modern headless CMS platform. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and developer experience, helping users adopt and master our API‑first solution.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain high‑quality technical documentation, API references, developer guides, tutorials, and FAQs.
• Develop sample applications, code snippets, and prototypes that showcase real‑world use cases.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert on headless CMS concepts, supporting developers, partners, and customers.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and support teams to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
• Identify user pain points and translate complex technical details into clear, structured content.
• Continuously update documentation based on product releases, user feedback, and evolving best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in web development or software engineering.
• Proven track record in technical writing, documentation, or developer education.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
• Detail‑oriented, problem‑solver who can work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.

Required skills

• RESTful APIs
• GraphQL (optional but valued)
• Modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Next.js, Nuxt, Svelte, Astro)
• Git and collaborative development workflows
• Experience with CMS platforms, especially headless CMS
