Downstream Operations Associate Specialist (m/f/d)

About the role

Nemesis AG, a recruitment partner in the Life Sciences sector based in Basel, is recruiting a Downstream Operations Associate Specialist (m/f/d) for its client, a biopharmaceutical manufacturer of early-phase clinical therapies. The role is a 12-month temporary assignment in the Greater Lucerne area, focused on GMP-compliant downstream processing.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, run and troubleshoot downstream processes in full compliance with GMP standards
• Apply and uphold GMP principles and EHS standards in your area of responsibility
• Draft and update SOPs and electronic master batch records, and review process-transfer documentation from a technical perspective
• Manage materials using ERP systems (SAP)
• Contribute to continuous improvement and support new technologies, including non-GMP engineering runs and test activities
• Take part in sampling activities and on-call duties according to the production schedule, occasionally including weekends

Required profile

• Relevant education and 1-2 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
• Solution-oriented mindset, curiosity to learn and drive to improve processes
• Ability to stay composed and take ownership in a demanding GMP environment
• Flexible, collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders
• Fluent business English and German
• A category B driving licence and access to a car is an advantage for on-call duties
