Global Head of Manufacturing

About the role

A senior global leadership position based in Lucerne, Switzerland, reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer. The Global Head of Manufacturing leads the global manufacturing organization and drives its strategy, performance and long-term development.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the global manufacturing and network strategy
• Lead and optimize multiple manufacturing sites globally
• Drive operational excellence, OTIF, quality, productivity and cost improvements
• Manage capacity allocation and production and technology transfers between factories
• Review and approve plant budgets, product costs and manufacturing CAPEX
• Ensure quality and regulatory compliance, including ISO 13485
• Develop manufacturing capabilities through continuous improvement, automation and process simplification
• Lead Plant and Production Heads in a global matrix organization
• Represent Manufacturing within the Supply Chain organization and the Global IBP process

Required profile

• 20+ years of overall professional experience
• 5-10+ years in a comparable multi-site manufacturing leadership role
• Very strong manufacturing background, ideally within dental/medical consumables or a related regulated industry
• Proven track record of driving cost, performance and operational improvements
• Strong experience in a multinational and matrix environment
• Strong customer, quality and compliance orientation
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and cross-cultural skills
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering or equivalent
• Very good English; Japanese would be an advantage
