Drone Assembly Operator

About the role

Fotokite develops autonomous tethered UAVs for emergency services. The Drone Assembly Operator will join a multidisciplinary team to assemble electro‑mechanical sub‑systems for the company’s latest high‑endurance drone platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble complex electro‑mechanical sub‑systems, including testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Build products following work instructions and drawings with precision and consistency.
• Troubleshoot issues and communicate them to technicians and the engineering team.
• Provide feedback via red‑lined drawings and written communication.
• Maintain an organized workflow and workstation.
• Receive and inspect components.
• Conduct indoor assembly tests according to established procedures.
• Monitor and report on the quality of components and assemblies.
• Track component inventory as it relates to build schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years related experience.
• Ability to assemble complex electro‑mechanical systems using engineering assembly drawings.
• Keen eye for detail, technical aptitude, and a desire to learn.
• Experience handling ESD‑sensitive components and working in an ESD‑safe environment (preferred).
• Proven record of meeting production timelines.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word‑processing tools such as G‑Suite or MS Office.
• Experience in an international company (a plus).
• Fluency in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
