EASA PART-147 B1 Basic and Airbus B1 Type Rating Instructor

About the role

SR Technics, an MRO provider headquartered at Zurich Airport, is looking for an experienced EASA PART-147 B1 Basic and Airbus B1 Type Rating Instructor. As part of the Training Services Team, the instructor delivers training in line with aviation authority rules and regulations, acting as instructor, examiner, practical trainer and assessor, while also developing learning content and acting as a subject matter expert in training projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, cost-effective training at the required locations, using varied resources and methods to meet students' needs.
• Prepare and manage materials and infrastructure for theoretical and practical sessions, and use the latest technologies to support instruction.
• Set learning objectives, monitor student progress and build a supportive learning environment.
• Provide course completion data to administration and keep documentation accurate and compliant with aviation authority rules.
• Act as a subject matter expert in training product development and business projects.
• Contribute to a Generative Safety Culture, promote regulatory compliance and quality, and implement and improve the Safety Management System.

Required profile

• Certification as a Technician (AML B1, B1&B2 or equivalent).
• Preferably a bachelor's degree in engineering and/or education.
• Minimum of 5 years in aviation maintenance or a similar field.
• Availability to train worldwide and to travel regularly.
• Proven experience in technical teaching and/or certification as a technical trainer or instructor.
• Proficiency in English and/or German, minimum level B2, C1 preferred.
• Applications must include an up-to-date copy of certifications, Part 66 licence and listed documents; only EU, Swiss or Swiss-permit holders are considered under Swiss immigration rules.
