Embedded Software Engineer (80-100%) – Zurich

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to design and build high‑performance, low‑latency software for mission‑critical banking and fintech systems. The role covers the full development lifecycle, from architecture to optimisation and delivery, and involves close collaboration with hardware‑focused teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded C/C++ software for low‑latency applications.
• Work with Linux and hardware teams to integrate and optimise system performance.
• Develop, test, and maintain networking components (TCP/IP, UDP) and socket‑level code.
• Perform performance tuning, profiling, and optimisation across the stack.
• Participate in code reviews, continuous integration, and agile development processes.

Required profile

• Passion for low‑latency, mission‑critical environments.
• Strong background in C, C++ and Linux‑based development.
• Experience with embedded systems, networking protocols, and low‑level programming.
• Ability to work independently and within a high‑performance engineering team.
