End User Onsite Support – Level 1 IT Engineer

About the role

The Level 1 IT Support Engineer will be the first point of contact for end‑users in Visp, providing timely assistance for hardware, software and network issues. The role involves both remote troubleshooting and hands‑on support at the office.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to user requests via phone, email, ticketing system or in person.
• Diagnose and resolve basic hardware problems (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals).
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams and other business applications.
• Log, categorize, prioritize and close incidents in the service‑desk tool.
• Perform password resets, account unlocks and basic Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID tasks.
• Conduct initial network checks (internet, Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
• Escalate complex issues to Level 2 with complete documentation.

Required profile

• IT diploma, degree or relevant technical qualification (preferred).
• Entry‑level to 2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk.
• Strong communication skills in English; German or French is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
