Engineering Project Manager – Pharma

About the role

We make it GmbH, a national Swiss personnel services company, is recruiting on behalf of CSL Behring AG in Bern, a manufacturer of immunodeficiency and rhesus prophylaxis drugs and albumin solutions. The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for capital projects that scope, develop, procure, construct and qualify new equipment and facilities needed to meet production throughput.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams through the project lifecycle to deliver capacity expansion for global and local strategic needs
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans and monitor progress against milestones, deliverables and budget
• Oversee project risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Ensure initiatives align with business objectives and strategy
• Deliver cGMP-compliant processes and facilities suitable for FDA and global regulatory approval
• Implement EHS by design principles in the project
• Produce regular project reports (financial updates, schedules, risks, activity summaries) for site senior management and global steering committees
• Drive project completion through performance qualification, and lead teams with mentoring and clear communication

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Life Sciences (MS/MBA/BS/BA or equivalent)
• 10 years of experience managing capital projects in the pharmaceutical industry
• Ideal experience with Annex 1 and filling lines
• German is mandatory

Required skills

• Functional knowledge of cGMP and manufacturing in FDA-regulated facilities
• Project management, validation, CMC and facility regulatory submissions
• Experience with execution systems, Trackwise, Veeva, Power BI/Clarity
