Engineering Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader to drive high‑impact delivery at the intersection of engineering execution, team development, and AI‑driven software processes. You will lead a small, high‑performing team while contributing hands‑on to product development and technical decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 3‑5 engineers, ensuring quality delivery and healthy dynamics.
• Balance hands‑on engineering work with leadership duties, actively contributing to product code.
• Own hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of team members.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and mentorship.
• Drive planning, prioritization, and execution focused on delivery efficiency.
• Act as the primary spokesperson for the team, aligning with stakeholders.
• Define and implement AI‑enhanced engineering workflows to improve speed, quality, and scalability.
• Introduce verification mechanisms such as testing, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Collaborate across functions to improve processes, system design, and organizational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing 2‑5 engineers with formal performance responsibility.
• Strong backend engineering background with production‑grade systems experience.
• Track record of shipping secure, scalable, and reliable software in complex environments.
• Experience designing or adopting automation, workflow orchestration, or agentic systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to align engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
