European Chief Executive Officer, Switzerland

About the role

We are supporting a privately‑owned European retail group (≈USD 3 billion turnover) in appointing a European Chief Executive Officer based in Switzerland. The CEO will steer the core business through a major transformation, improve performance and embed robust operating processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the European retail business and own full P&L responsibility.
• Develop and execute a transformation agenda to drive performance improvement.
• Strengthen operating processes and ensure disciplined decision‑making.
• Provide clear leadership during a period of change across the ownership structure.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders in Switzerland, Germany and the wider DACH region.

Required profile

• Current or recent CEO, Managing Director, Divisional CEO or equivalent senior leader.
• Proven experience managing a business of scale (turnover around or above USD 3 billion).
• Track record of transformation, turnaround or operating‑model change.
• Significant retail, consumer or customer‑facing experience.
• Strong commercial and operational judgement, process‑driven leadership style.
• Fluent English and exposure to Switzerland, Germany or the DACH region.
