Executive Housekeeper (Live-In) – Gstaad

About the role

A hotel in Gstaad, Switzerland, is looking for an experienced Executive Housekeeper to join its team. The role is central to keeping the hotel's reputation for exceptional service and immaculate facilities, and is a full-time position in a prestigious, human-sized property in one of Switzerland's most exclusive destinations. The post is live-in.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of room attendants, laundry staff and floor staff, and coordinate their work
• Keep suites, residences and common areas impeccably maintained
• Inspect suites and residences on arrival and departure for cleanliness, welcome standards, amenities and VIP needs
• Manage equipment, bedding, inventory, carts and minibars
• Plan schedules according to occupancy and train housekeeping teams in procedures and standards
• Handle unexpected situations reactively and professionally, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction
• Coordinate housekeeping work with other hotel departments

Required profile

• Higher education in hotel management with a specialization in accommodation
• Proven experience in a similar role in luxury hospitality
• Fluent French and English; a third language is a plus
• Broad general knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Rigorous, dynamic and organized, with complete autonomy
• Ability to understand the expectations of high-end clients and to manage priorities and urgent requests
