Experienced Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Experienced Accountant to join a well‑established international company in Basel. The role involves ownership of financial reporting, statutory accounting, and audit coordination within a dynamic, growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets and accruals.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and Swiss GAAP FER.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, financial analyses and support budgeting and variance analysis.
• Assist with tax and VAT matters, coordinate external audits and act as the main contact for auditors and authorities.
• Prepare ad‑hoc financial reports and support payment processing activities.

Required profile

• Commercial education (EFZ) or equivalent, with further finance/accounting studies.
• Several years of experience in Swiss financial accounting and strong knowledge of Swiss accounting regulations (OR) and Swiss GAAP FER.
• Fluent in German and English, independent and detail‑oriented with strong analytical skills.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365.
• Experience with SAP Business One.
• Familiarity with LucaNet (a plus).
