About the role

As a Field Engineering Manager you will lead, coach, and scale a high‑performing pre‑sales Solutions Architecture team across Eastern Europe, driving Databricks’ market expansion and customer acceleration.

Key responsibilities

• Scale & Enable Technical Talent: Hire, onboard, and mentor a top‑tier pre‑sales engineering team across Eastern Europe.
• Drive Consumption‑Based Growth: Partner with Sales leadership to forecast, qualify, and accelerate enterprise sales cycles.
• Cultivate Value‑Engineered Solutions: Institute rigorous pre‑sales methodologies that shift conversations to strategic business outcomes.
• Build Executive & Strategic Alignment: Engage directly with customer executives and regional SI/CSP partners to secure reference architectures and co‑selling motions.
• Foster an Inclusive, Builder‑First Culture: Promote a collaborative, customer‑obsessed engineering culture rooted in technical curiosity.
• Expand Regional Brand & Market Presence: Lead community engagement, executive roundtables, and developer events in Eastern Europe.

Required profile

• Proven track record of building and scaling technical pre‑sales or solutions architecture teams in a hyper‑growth SaaS/Cloud environment.
• Deep domain expertise as a practitioner or consultant in at least one core technical domain.
• Hands‑on understanding of consumption‑driven SaaS business models and technical pipeline management.
• Ability to review and influence complex multi‑cloud data architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong executive presence with communication, whiteboarding, and storytelling skills.
• Professional fluency in English; fluency in Polish (preferred) or other Eastern European languages.
