Field Service Technician for Laboratory and Process Instruments

About the role

Anton Paar develops, manufactures and markets high-precision laboratory instruments, process measurement systems and custom automation and robotics solutions. As a Field Service Technician you will provide on-site service for laboratory and process instrumentation, covering preventive maintenance, calibration, installation and customer training. The position is based in the Swiss Romandie region (Biel, Bern, Solothurn) and starts on 01.01.2027 or by arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and perform maintenance and repair work, installations and GMP qualifications of laboratory measuring instruments for customers in the pharmaceutical and beverage industries
• Prepare maintenance reports and qualification documentation
• Prepare quotations and cost estimates
• Provide technical sales support and customer consultancy
• Carry out in-house repairs

Required profile

• Qualification as an Automation Technician, Electromechanical Technician or Electrical Engineering Technician, ideally with further education as a Higher Technical College (HF) Technician
• Experience in servicing laboratory instruments preferred
• Valid Category B driving licence
• French and good German; English is an advantage
• Willingness to travel within Switzerland
