Finance Assistant Working Student (50%)

About the role

Join MDPI’s Finance team in Basel as a Finance Assistant Working Student. You will support daily finance operations, reporting to the Finance Operations Manager and collaborating closely with the Financial Accountant. The role is fully on‑site and designed to fit a 50 % student schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Process various types of payments and ensure precise, timely booking.
• Organise payment runs and reconcile bank accounts in multiple currencies on a weekly basis.
• Support the Financial Accountant with routine finance tasks.
• Interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare ad‑hoc reports for the Finance Operations Manager.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a university or higher‑education institution.
• Fluent in English (C1) and German (C1).
• Strong organisational and communication abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Proactive, team‑oriented and service‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Confident use of MS Office.
• Experience with digital document‑management tools.
