Finance Director – Switzerland

About the role

SGS is seeking a Finance Director for its Swiss affiliate to lead financial control, reporting and strategic planning. The role reports to the Managing Director and is responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and group requirements while driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial control processes, ensuring compliance with legal and group accounting standards.
• Oversee accounting, reporting, balance‑sheet and income‑statement reviews.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis against plans and targets.
• Monitor net working capital, CAPEX spend and supplier payment terms.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, audit preparation and remediation of audit findings.
• Support acquisition due‑diligence, integration and financial assessment of investment projects.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of fiscal, accounting and commercial legislation applicable to the affiliate.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director on strategic decisions and operational risk identification.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance leadership, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting regulations and international financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX and working‑capital processes.
• Experience coordinating internal and external audits and implementing control improvements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
