Finance Expert – Remote, $100/hr

About the role

Mercor is seeking a Corporate Finance Expert to work remotely on a contract basis, supporting AI research teams by evaluating and improving financial data sets. This position offers a competitive rate of $100 per hour and requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the accuracy and depth of financial models to enhance model reasoning and rigor.
• Review complex financial reports for alignment with domain principles and methodologies.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to AI research teams to improve training data quality.
• Develop evaluation rubrics and benchmarks for AI‑generated financial tasks.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to ensure dataset consistency, relevance, and coverage.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while driving model performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate finance.
• Proven experience in financial modeling within a professional environment.
• Experience in financial reporting or financial analysis.
• Ability to work remotely with a self‑directed schedule.
• Available to start in October.
