Finance Systems Analyst

About the role

Abbott's Established Pharmaceutical Division (EPD) is looking for a Finance Systems Analyst for its global Pharma Division headquarters in Allschwil, Basel. The role administers, supports and continuously improves the finance planning and reporting systems, ensuring data integrity, master data governance, user access compliance and system readiness. It acts as a key liaison between Finance and IT stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support finance planning and reporting systems, focusing on SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and related financial applications.
• Support month-end close through data validation, reconciliations and system tie-outs using Excel and reporting tools.
• Maintain finance master data and organizational hierarchies, and prepare systems and reporting structures for planning cycles.
• Investigate and resolve user and business support tickets with IT teams, and develop reports, dashboards and analytical tools.
• Manage user access lifecycle, create and maintain training materials and deliver system training.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardization and process optimization, and act as subject matter expert for financial systems.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT and business stakeholders across a global organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification is an asset.
• 2-5 years of experience in Finance Systems, FP&A, Financial Reporting, Business Analytics or a related area.
• Experience in a global or matrix environment is an asset.
• Excellent command of English is mandatory; additional languages are an asset.

Required skills

• SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or comparable planning and reporting platforms.
• Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation and reporting.
• Master data management and user access administration preferred.
• Analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
