Financial Accountant – Full-time (f/m/d)

About the role

Julius Baer is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team. The role involves handling accounting and reporting for the bank and its domestic and international entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, business reports and VAT returns in line with local rules.
• Maintain compliance with internal control systems and support implementation of IFRS and other accounting standards.
• Perform analytical reviews of balance‑sheet and income‑statement items.
• Produce group (IFRS) and local statutory reports.
• Collaborate with Group Tax, Management Accounting, IT and Payroll on cross‑functional projects.
• Assist corporate actions such as entity setup, acquisitions and liquidations.
• Drive process improvements and support SAP initiatives (R/3, S/4HANA).
• Provide technical accounting support and participate in system testing.

Required profile

• Swiss Certified Accountant or a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• At least three years of financial accounting experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and proficiency in German and English.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
