Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join a multinational energy group. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle for multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping for all group companies, including invoice processing and cash transaction recording.
• Calculate and post intercompany interest, perform monthly intercompany reconciliations, and arrange settlements.
• Reconcile bank balances and clearing‑house accounts.
• Review overdue invoices and conduct analytical reviews of balance‑sheet and P&L accounts.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities for the group.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS, Swiss statutory requirements, and internal management reporting.
• Support and participate in annual external audits.

Required profile

• Proven track record in accounting and familiarity with IFRS standards.
• Fluent English with excellent judgment and communication skills.
• Result‑oriented, creative, and able to work across cultural boundaries.
• Team player with high energy and the ability to see both the big picture and detailed aspects.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
