Financial Analyst & Performance Initiative Manager

About the role

Julius Baer is seeking a motivated Financial Analyst, Performance & Initiative Manager to drive finance‑related projects that enhance profitability, performance and cost management for its private banking business in Western Markets & Switzerland. You will join the CFO Western Markets & Switzerland team and report to the Head of Performance Management, Business Partnering & Initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth quantitative analyses using Management Information Systems to identify front‑office trends, P&L impact and balance‑sheet product usage, and define actionable improvement measures.
• Lead and coordinate performance‑improvement initiatives, from conceptualisation through implementation, rollout and progress tracking.
• Prepare concise, visually appealing presentations for senior management meetings.
• Act as a finance sparring partner to front‑office teams, collaborating with Accounting, Treasury, Capital Management and Credit.
• Run business case assessments and market‑strategy reviews to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a comparable field with strong academic results.
• 2‑3 years of experience in finance, banking or management consulting with a focus on banking.
• Good knowledge of private banking and global financial markets.
• Strong analytical, conceptual and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data handling and quantitative analysis.
• Experience with data‑visualisation tools such as Tableau.
