Financial Business Controller

About the role

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is seeking a Financial Business Controller to join its Group Controlling department in Geneva. The role supports MSC Cargo across a defined set of countries, providing financial insight, working‑capital management and strategic analysis to drive commercial and operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Improve working‑capital management and identify revenue and cost optimisation opportunities.
• Perform cost‑control activities and review financial reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Assist the Regional CFO in daily management of assigned countries and coordinate country visits.
• Analyse foreign‑exchange exposure and lead ad‑hoc global analyses in collaboration with regional teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, controlling, audit or financial planning, preferably within shipping or logistics.
• Strong analytical and critical mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
• EU citizenship or a valid Swiss work permit.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with SAP.
