Financial Business Controller

About the role
MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is seeking a Financial Business Controller to join its Group Controlling department in Geneva. The role supports MSC Cargo across a defined set of countries, providing financial insight, working‑capital management and strategic analysis to drive commercial and operational decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Improve working‑capital management and identify revenue and cost optimisation opportunities.
- Perform cost‑control activities and review financial reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Assist the Regional CFO in daily management of assigned countries and coordinate country visits.
- Analyse foreign‑exchange exposure and lead ad‑hoc global analyses in collaboration with regional teams.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, controlling, audit or financial planning, preferably within shipping or logistics.
- Strong analytical and critical mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
- EU citizenship or a valid Swiss work permit.
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with SAP.
