Financial Business Controller (Latin America South Europe Region)

About the role

MSC is seeking a Financial Business Controller to join its Group Controlling department and support MSC Cargo across a specific set of Latin American and Southern European countries. The role combines financial controlling, deep‑dive analysis, and strategic partnership with business units to enhance decision‑making and drive finance transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Improve working capital management and identify revenue and cost optimisation opportunities.
• Perform cost‑control activities and review operational costs generated by agencies worldwide.
• Assist the Regional CFO with daily management of assigned countries and organise the CFO’s country visits.
• Review foreign‑exchange exposure and produce weekly/monthly financial reporting.
• Lead ad‑hoc global analyses in collaboration with other regional teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance or Economics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, audit, controlling, FP&A or equivalent.
• Mandatory experience in shipping or logistics.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to execute analysis with financial tools.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Analytic and critical mindset, quick learner, result‑oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
• EU citizenship or a valid Swiss work permit.
