Founder Associate to the CTO

About the role

As the Founder Associate to the CTO at Lyceum, you will act as the right‑hand to the CTO, managing the office’s daily business, driving strategic projects, and leading the first round of technical hiring. This zero‑to‑one mandate bridges technology and business in a fast‑growing GPU cloud startup.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the CTO’s priorities, prepare briefing documents, agendas and follow‑up on action items.
• Run first‑round interviews with engineering candidates and coordinate the interview process.
• Own critical strategic projects from deep‑dives into emerging tech trends to board‑level material.
• Evaluate and drive technical partnerships to keep the company at the forefront of AI infrastructure.
• Translate technical topics into commercial decisions and clear stories for customers, partners and investors.
• Support pricing, product and go‑to‑market questions with a technical angle.
• Build processes for the CTO office and engineering team to scale.

Required profile

• Master‑level studies or degree in computer science, engineering, business, economics or management with strong tech understanding.
• Excellent commercial sense – think in business impact, not just technology.
• Real curiosity for AI and infrastructure topics; able to discuss them with engineers.
• Practical experience in a fast‑paced environment such as a startup, consulting or VC.
• High ownership mindset, able to build processes from scratch.
• Pragmatic, “get‑shit‑done” attitude with strong execution skills.
• Organizational talent: calm under pressure, structured and precise.
• Excellent written and verbal English; German is a plus.
