About the role
Cartus, a global relocation specialist, is seeking a freelance German language teacher to provide in‑person lessons for a 10‑year‑old child in Hünenberg, Switzerland. The role starts as soon as possible (June 2026) and offers the possibility of additional assignments.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 2–3 individual German lessons per week at the learner’s home.
- Customize lesson content to support the child’s academic and social goals in Swiss schools.
- Source and use authentic German materials appropriate for a primary‑school learner.
- Utilise a video‑conferencing platform for supplementary resources or homework support.
- Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum of 2 years experience teaching German.
- Proven experience teaching children one‑on‑one.
- Ability to tailor lessons to individual learner needs.
- Passion for helping international families succeed.
Required skills
- Proficiency with at least one video‑conferencing platform.
