Frontend Engineer – Account Team

About the role

Proton is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join the Account team, responsible for the full user lifecycle across Proton’s suite of privacy‑focused products. You will work on the web client built with React and TypeScript, contributing to an open‑source codebase that powers millions of accounts worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain user‑facing features for the Account web client using React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver a seamless account experience across Proton services.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews to uphold high quality standards.
• Contribute to Proton’s open‑source repositories and ensure compliance with GPL‑3 licensing.
• Help migrate and integrate infrastructure components to Kubernetes as part of the platform evolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience building modern web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑moving, globally distributed team.
• Passion for privacy, security, and open‑source software.
