Full Stack Developer - Digital Advisory Platform

About the role

LGT is looking for junior- to senior-level Full Stack Engineers to join its small, agile team building the Digital Advisory Platform, which integrates product, content and client information so Relationship Managers can engage clients proactively. The team is distributed across Japan, Hong Kong and Zurich, and the role covers the full software development lifecycle, from architecture to deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test resilient, stateless, scalable services and APIs, mainly in Python for backend and data processing.
• Build responsive user interfaces with React/Next.js, following design patterns, reusability and secure coding practices.
• Work with product managers, business analysts and end-users to turn their needs into technical solutions.
• Develop AI solutions such as automation, chatbots, agent-based systems and MCP prototyping, integrated with existing systems.
• Maintain a shared data foundation: design and optimize MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases and write APIs as a platform.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes and ArgoCD, and set up multi-region deployments while handling geo-specific compliance and localization.
• Ensure data integrity and security, drive test automation, debug and troubleshoot software, and write technical documentation.
• Senior candidates also mentor juniors, conduct code reviews and enforce development and testing standards.

Required profile

• Solid full-stack experience, with Python for backend and data engineering; React/Next.js, HTML and CSS for frontend.
• REST API development and experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Agile/Scrum experience and strong communication skills; ability to work in a small, globally distributed team.
• For seniors: demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring and driving best practices.

Required skills

• Docker and Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD
• Microservices and cloud-native development (Azure preferred)
• Interest in AI-assisted development, AI frameworks and system integration with AI models (Agent, MCP)
• Desirable: observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, prior experience in private banking, wealth or asset management, and knowledge of GDPR and APAC compliance
