Full-Stack Software Developer for REANA Platform

About the role

Join CERN’s open‑science team developing REANA, an open‑source platform that enables reproducible computational data analyses for physicists and researchers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain both frontend (React) and backend (Python, Go) components of the REANA platform.
• Collaborate with physicists to support reusable analysis workflows in experiments.
• Deploy, monitor and operate services on Kubernetes clusters using Docker and Helm.
• Work with external institutes and partners on open‑science infrastructure.

Required profile

• Maximum two years of professional experience in computer science or a related field.
• Holder of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; willingness to learn French.
• National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State and no previous CERN contract.

Required skills

• Frontend: React.
• Backend: Python, Go.
• Container & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Experience with deployment, monitoring and security of cloud services.

• Fixed‑term contract of 24 months, extendable up to 36 months.

• Monthly net stipend of 5 266 CHF (Bachelor) or 5 793 CHF (Master).
