Full‑Stack Software Developer for Open Data Platforms

About the role
Join CERN’s team building open‑data services and reproducible analysis platforms. You will work on cutting‑edge software supporting the LHCb experiment and the REANA workflow system.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the REANA reproducible analysis platform for containerised declarative workflows.
- Implement the LHCb Ntupling service that provides custom open data to researchers.
- Collaborate with LHC experimental physics teams and external partners on open‑science infrastructure.
Required profile
- 2 years or less of professional experience in computer science or a related field.
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State, with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Never held a CERN fellow or graduate contract; PhD holders are not eligible.
Required skills
- Frontend: React.
- Backend: Python, Go.
- Deployment: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
- Experience with container technologies, application deployment, monitoring and security.

- Monthly net stipend of 5 266 CHF (Bachelor) or 5 793 CHF (Master).
