German Teacher – Primary & Secondary

About the role

ISCS – The British School of Zug is seeking a dynamic German Teacher to deliver high‑quality language instruction to both primary and secondary students. You will join a multicultural team dedicated to fostering an empowering, student‑centred learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging German lessons for a range of ages and proficiency levels.
• Design learning experiences that promote active participation, oral and written communication, and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with international faculty to align curriculum and coordinate interdisciplinary projects.
• Participate in pastoral duties, parent meetings, and school events that support the school’s international ethos.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in teaching German to primary and secondary learners.
• Proven experience in lesson planning, formative assessment, and classroom management.
• University degree in Education, German Studies, Primary/Secondary Education, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in German.
• Pedagogical skills suited to an international environment, with intercultural awareness and a student‑centred approach.
• Good communication skills in English and ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
