Global Account Manager – Strategic Partnerships

About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Account Manager to lead strategic partnerships with major industrial and energy customers worldwide. In this highly visible position you will own the global account strategy, collaborate across business units and regions, and act as the trusted advisor to executive stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute global account strategies that align customer priorities with Hitachi Energy’s growth ambitions.
• Build long‑term executive relationships and act as a strategic partner to customer leadership teams.
• Lead the end‑to‑end customer journey across regions, ensuring a seamless experience.
• Identify and drive new business opportunities, strategic projects and revenue streams across the full portfolio.
• Collaborate with local sales teams, business units and account stakeholders to achieve account targets.
• Create and maintain comprehensive account plans, including stakeholder mapping, opportunity pipelines and risk analysis.
• Facilitate C‑level engagement through executive meetings, business reviews and strategic workshops.
• Monitor account performance using Salesforce, ATLAS and other commercial tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in complex enterprise sales, business development or strategic account management.
• Proven track record of closing seven‑figure software, digital or technology solutions.
• Experience with large industrial customers such as utilities, mining, rail, oil & gas or infrastructure.
• Strong ability to engage and influence C‑level executives.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce.
• Experience using ATLAS or similar commercial analytics tools.
