Global Head of Quality – Lead Global Quality Strategy

About the role

The Global Head of Quality is responsible for defining and executing the worldwide quality strategy, ensuring the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance across all sites. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, this senior role drives sustainable quality excellence in a highly regulated, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a company‑wide quality strategy and harmonised Quality Management System (QMS).
• Lead the global quality organisation, including QA, QC, Compliance and Validation teams.
• Oversee preparation for and management of regulatory and customer inspections.
• Ensure product quality across the entire value chain (API, drug product, biologics).
• Implement proactive quality and risk‑management processes, monitor deviations, CAPAs and OOS events.
• Promote a strong quality culture and drive continuous improvement, including digital transformation initiatives.
• Act as primary contact for global regulatory authorities and key customers, communicating at executive level.
• Support business development activities with quality expertise, such as audits and due diligence.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology or related field (PhD preferred).
• Extensive leadership experience in global quality roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Deep knowledge of GMP regulations (FDA, EMA, ICH) and inspection readiness.
• Experience in CDMO, API or complex manufacturing environments is a strong advantage.
• Proven track record in building and transforming global quality organisations.
• Strategic mindset combined with strong execution capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at executive level.
• Strong intercultural competence and experience in global organisations.
