Global Head of Tax

About the role

The Global Head of Tax will define and execute the Group’s worldwide tax strategy, ensuring compliance, risk management and commercial alignment across all jurisdictions. This senior leader acts as a strategic partner to executive management, finance, legal and M&A teams, providing proactive tax advice on complex transactions and new market opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a global tax strategy aligned with business and shareholder objectives.
• Oversee direct tax, international tax planning, transfer pricing, indirect tax and tax accounting across all locations.
• Lead a high‑performing global tax organization, driving modernization, automation and technology adoption.
• Provide tax structuring advice on acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and financing transactions.
• Ensure governance, compliance and timely filing of all tax obligations worldwide.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Tax Law, Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field; professional tax qualification preferred.
• 15+ years of international tax experience, preferably in commodity trading, energy, shipping or financial services.
• Prior responsibility for leading a global tax function and managing transfer pricing, corporate tax, indirect tax and tax accounting.
• Proven track record of tax transformation, technology implementation and cross‑border tax risk management.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Knowledge of AI‑enabled tax analytics and automation tools.
• Deep understanding of IFRS tax reporting, OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines, BEPS and Pillar Two requirements.
