Global Head of Test Labs

About the role

The Global Head of Test Labs leads a worldwide network of laboratories that ensure product verification, measurement, and validation for cutting‑edge technologies. This senior position combines strategic planning, operational leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration within an international engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the long‑term strategy for global testing and verification.
• Manage laboratory teams across multiple regions and product categories.
• Drive digital lab modernization, automation, infrastructure expansion, and advanced analytics.
• Establish globally aligned testing procedures, quality standards, safety guidelines, and reporting frameworks.
• Partner with engineering, product development, supply chain, and customer‑facing technical teams to support validation and qualification activities.
• Lead verification and reliability testing programs for new product introductions.
• Evaluate and implement emerging testing methodologies, instrumentation, and software solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Proven leadership experience across multiple teams or product lines.
• Background in vacuum technology.
• Experience driving process optimization or agile transformation in complex technical settings.
• Strong organizational and stakeholder‑management skills within matrix structures.
• Fluent in English with professional‑level German communication.
