Global IT Security Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Global IT Security Manager to lead the cybersecurity strategy for a worldwide retail group. Based in Fribourg, you will protect digital assets across e‑commerce platforms, point‑of‑sale systems, supply‑chain applications and customer data.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a global cybersecurity strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead security initiatives for e‑commerce, POS, and retail operations.
• Ensure secure‑by‑design principles across all IT and digital transformation projects.
• Develop and maintain global security policies, standards and governance frameworks.
• Protect endpoints, identities, access management systems and oversee threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, cloud, digital and retail operations teams.
• Manage third‑party security risk and ensure compliance with GDPR and regional data‑protection regulations.
• Report security posture, risks and KPIs to executive leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years of IT security experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Proven track record securing global or multi‑site retail environments.
• Strong understanding of retail business processes, e‑commerce architecture and POS systems.
• Experience implementing secure‑by‑design principles.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Fluent English; additional Nordic language skills are a plus.
