Global Manufacturing Process Definition & Improvement Specialist

About the role

As a Global Drying Process Specialist at Hitachi Energy, you will optimize and standardize drying processes across worldwide operations, driving efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Define, document, and standardize drying processes globally, aligning with best practices and company objectives.
• Analyze existing drying processes and equipment to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Develop and implement process control strategies, including statistical process control (SPC) and quality assurance measures.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, production, and supply chain teams for seamless process integration.
• Provide technical expertise and training to manufacturing teams on new processes and equipment.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for drying processes and report performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical) or related field; Master's preferred.
• Proven experience in manufacturing process engineering and improvement in a global environment.
• Expertise in drying process definition, documentation, and standardization.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (certification preferred).
• Ability to travel internationally and fluency in English.
