Global Manufacturing Process Definition & Improvement Specialist

About the role

Hitachi Energy seeks a Global Manufacturing Process Definition & Improvement Specialist to lead the standardisation and optimisation of casting processes across its worldwide sites. You will drive efficiency, implement innovative technologies and ensure high product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document standardised casting processes, work instructions and best practices for global production sites.
• Analyse existing processes, identify bottlenecks and apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methods to improve them.
• Design and implement equipment upgrades, automation solutions and Industry 4.0 initiatives to boost output and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, quality and production teams to integrate new processes and technologies.
• Deliver training programmes for manufacturing personnel on new tools and workflows.
• Monitor KPIs, conduct audits and recommend corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing); Master’s degree is a plus.
• Extensive experience in casting process engineering and global process improvement.
• Proven track record of delivering operational excellence using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to travel internationally to support multiple sites.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
