About the role
The Global Medical Core Capability Strategy Lead is a Director‑level expert responsible for designing Takeda Medical’s global capability architecture. Based in Zurich, this role defines competency frameworks, role archetypes and capability roadmaps that shape Medical Excellence across the enterprise.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of global competency frameworks, role archetypes and "what good looks like" descriptors for all Medical roles.
- Own the capability maturity model and continuously evolve the architecture to align with enterprise priorities and external Medical Affairs trends.
- Translate the Medical Affairs Vision 2030 agenda into a multi‑year capability development roadmap, integrating emerging needs such as data fluency, AI‑enabled engagement and omnichannel interaction.
- Define measurable performance indicators and embed capability measurement within the Bloom learning ecosystem and CXF platform.
- Partner with global scientific training leads, Medical Excellence networks and cross‑functional stakeholders to co‑create and govern capability frameworks.
- Govern Bloom content, manage external vendor relationships and oversee an annual budget of approximately USD 1‑2 million for capability development.
Required profile
- Advanced scientific or medical degree (MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent) preferred; relevant healthcare, learning sciences or organizational development degree required.
- 10+ years of biopharmaceutical experience with significant Medical Affairs exposure.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in capability development, talent strategy or Medical Excellence.
- Demonstrated expertise in competency framework design and capability architecture in a global pharmaceutical context.
Required skills
- Deep expertise in competency framework design, capability architecture and adult learning principles.
- Strong understanding of Medical Affairs roles, scientific engagement and the Medical Affairs Vision 2030.
