Global Product Launch and Supply Chain Lead (Instruments)

About the role

Roche's Global Supply Chain division seeks a Global Product Launch and Supply Chain Lead (New Product Launch Expert, Instruments) to manage organization-wide integration initiatives and new product commercialization on an international scale. The role is split between 60% operational execution (timelines, volume ramps, cold chain and regulatory bottlenecks) and 40% strategic direction (footprint optimization, systems thinking). It works as a transformational project leader bringing complex instruments and hardware systems to market.

Key responsibilities

• Manage global launch readiness and pilot-to-commercial scaling across diverse countries
• Coordinate day-to-day timelines, volume ramps and resolve immediate cold chain or regulatory compliance bottlenecks
• Run multi-year planning in the early Product Life Cycle for hardware solutions launching in 2 to 5 years
• Introduce new technologies and design methodologies to break down silos
• Oversee large-scale integration projects: E2E supply chain workflows, divisional launches and technical problem solving across internal manufacturing and external sites
• Influence the DIA Supply Chain Leadership Team, Finance and R&D, and negotiate global design standards with external logistics providers
• Balance R&D's need for speed with supply chain compliance and financial cost goals with operational resilience

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred
• 8+ years of leadership experience in Diagnostics, Medical Devices or Aerospace/Capital Equipment, with deep knowledge of manufacturing and distributing complex hardware
• Proven experience managing global launches of capital equipment and instruments in highly regulated environments such as ISO 13485 or FDA
• Deep understanding of the hardware Product Life Cycle, including manufacturing scale-up, global trade compliance for electronics and field service logistics
• Demonstrated matrix leadership, strategic decision-making and coaching across culturally diverse environments
