Global S&OP & Long-Term Planning Lead

About the role

The Global S&OP & Long-Term Planning Lead will shape how Biogen connects commercial strategy, supply chain planning, financial priorities, and long‑term growth. This highly visible position works across Business Operations, Finance, Demand Planning, and senior leadership to drive integrated business planning.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve global S&OP governance, cadence, standards and playbook.
• Facilitate regional Executive S&OP forums with cross‑functional partners.
• Lead the annual Long‑Term Planning cycle, translating strategy into supply and capacity requirements.
• Drive integration of S&OP and Long‑Term Planning outputs into financial and operational plans.
• Lead transformation toward enterprise‑wide Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
• Mentor and coach S&OP leaders, building a global planning community.

Required profile

• Strategic global leader with strong business and financial acumen.
• Proven experience designing or transforming IBP/S&OP in a large pharma or FMCG organization.
• Ability to influence across functions and geographies without direct authority.
• Experience working globally across cultures, functions and time zones.

Required skills

• Scenario planning and capacity planning.
• Advanced analytics, AI/ML, digital twins.
• ERP and planning systems (APICS certification preferred).
• Strong understanding of financial drivers linked to supply chain decisions.
