Graduate Quantitative Researcher – Digital Assets

About the role

As a Graduate Quantitative Researcher you will join IMC’s research‑driven trading team in Zug, working on data‑intensive digital‑asset strategies. You will collaborate with senior researchers and developers, learning how trading ideas are generated, tested and deployed in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Research and test data‑driven trading ideas using cryptocurrency exchange, DeFi protocol and traditional market data.
• Analyse large, complex datasets and build, test and improve models, signals and algorithms that support trading strategies.
• Work with IMC’s high‑performance computing infrastructure, cutting‑edge data and software tools.
• Collaborate closely with researchers, developers and engineers to turn research into production‑ready strategies.
• Evaluate trading opportunities focusing on performance, scalability, robustness and risk.

Required profile

• Final‑year student or recent graduate in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, quick learner and comfortable working with data.
• Genuine interest in financial markets, trading, crypto or DeFi.
• Curious, collaborative and eager to take ownership in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Programming experience in Python.
• Familiarity with C++ (a plus).
