Group Finance Director – Industrials – Zurich

About the role

The Group Finance Director will act as a strategic partner to the executive leadership of a large industrial group, safeguarding financial integrity across a complex, global, capital‑intensive environment. This senior, onsite position requires regular international travel and reports directly to the Executive Director Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Group central finance function, ensuring robust governance, controls and compliance across all entities and jurisdictions.
• Oversee preparation and consolidation of management accounts and statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and local regulations.
• Coordinate audits, statutory reporting and relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks and other financial stakeholders.
• Partner with the Executive Leadership Team on long‑term business planning, capital allocation and major investment decisions.
• Drive group‑wide budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting processes.
• Monitor financial performance, liquidity, cash flow and key risks, identifying issues and opportunities.
• Develop and standardise finance policies, processes and systems across the Group.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering high performance and accountability.

Required profile

• Approximately 15+ years of finance experience, including senior finance leadership roles.
• Proven experience in large, international, asset‑heavy or capital‑intensive businesses such as energy, industrials, chemicals, infrastructure or project‑based environments.
• Strong track record in group reporting, financial governance, budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning.
• Deep knowledge of multi‑jurisdictional financial compliance.
