Group Financial Controller

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will be based in Switzerland and will lead the finance function for a fast‑scaling global technology company. This senior leadership position combines deep accounting expertise with strategic oversight to ensure financial integrity across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end financial control, guaranteeing accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including statutory accounts.
• Design, implement and continuously improve financial policies, controls and governance frameworks for global operations.
• Oversee balance‑sheet integrity, reconciliations, journal reviews and the financial close process.
• Manage external audit relationships and act as primary contact for auditors, tax authorities and external advisors.
• Drive finance‑system enhancements, data‑quality improvements and adoption of automation/AI tools.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and evolving regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of precision and continuous learning.

Required profile

• Extensive senior accounting or financial control experience, preferably in a global technology or SaaS environment.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and complex multi‑entity financial reporting.
• Proven track record with ERP implementations and advanced Excel/data analysis.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, audit processes and international governance frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
